Big Sister, Little Sister
Since around the time I found out I was having twins, I started worrying about how to raise them (and Brooke too of course)! I want to make sure they feel like individuals, that they are not compared to each other too much, and so on.
I have read whatever I can get my hands on about raising twins. One book brought up whether or not to tell your twins which one is older. A family in the book didn't tell the twins who was born first until their 13th birthday.
By the time I read this particular book, between Grandma and me, all three girls already had several "Big Sister" or "Little Sister" shirts, and I hadn't given much though to keeping their birth orders secret.
And now that I've had time to think about it, I wouldn't want to keep it a secret...
that this sweet angel is my youngest baby girl,
and this one gets to claim being the oldest twin (and will probably use it to her advantage someday).

Because really, they'll get lumped together, mixed up, and labeled "the twins" enough.
I think they should know who's oldest and youngest, even if the difference is only 1 minute, 15 seconds. :)
They are both so precious - each in their own special way. I have loved having them in sunday school this quarter.
Issues like these are things every twin mom thinks about, but I agree with you about embracing their birth order instead of overlooking it. Jake will always be the big brother in our house!
I remember reading that too and thinking ...oh crap....I should have kept it a secret. But your right. They're twins and one was born before the other (Elle at 7:58 and Syd at 8:00) and there's no getting around that. I like your big/little sister shirts :) Today I had the girls in their Baby Sister shirts which I LOVE cause Aaron always refers to the girls as his baby sisters.
