Table Trouble

I hope this will not become a common scene at our house.
Keely sure was proud of herself for getting up there.
The table and chairs have since moved to the garage indefinitely.
And of course she gives me the "What, did I do something wrong?" face.
It's tough when they're naughty and cute!

Pictures Here and There

I didn't want to leave out a few of our summer pictures, so here they are all together in one big post. :)

During our MP trip, the girls all took a trip in Uncle Dodo's Arctic Cat. Here are Brooke and Claire trying it out.

Claire waiting her turn with Grandma.
Keely and her curls.
Same trip... the babies did not do well napping away from home, so their best nap was on Mommy!

Claire just havin' fun at home.

Babies waiting for Daddy to get home from coaching school.

Brooke and her buddy Grace at Pajama Puppet Time at the library. So sweet!

Silly Girl

I have to write down some things that have been coming out of this little mouth lately before I forget.

********************

Sign of the times:
Brooke searched for her toy camera and couldn't find it. She settled on her toy cell phone and remarked, "It's okay, my phone has a camera in it."

********************

Mommy: "Brooke, you are in my heart."
Brooke: "No. Jesus is in your heart. I'm in your tummy!"

********************

Brooke: "I was born in Mommy's tummy. Mommy was born in Grammy's tummy. Baby sisters were born in my tummy."

Blueberries & Bathtime

Every once in a while, the girls will make a big enough mess at meal time that they just need a bath! That happened at lunch today after chowing down on blueberries. They certainly didn't mind an extra dip in the tub!

A Fun Age

I am really loving this toddler stage the babies are in right now. They crack me up every day with what they do. The cutest thing is when they try to act like big girls. It's so cute to see them talking on the toy phone or trying on Brooke's headbands. Silly girls.

At 14 months, Keely seems to be fearless. Her favorite thing to do is splash in the backyard kiddie pool with sisters. She likes to stand up and plop down in the water, making a big splash and laughing.
Her signature face right now is making pucker lips and sticking her tongue out.
She climbs on everything and she is so strong!
She loves to greet us with an enthusiastic "Hi!"
She also says "Daddy, shoe, Sissy, Brooke-Brooke, Uh-oh, Mama" and a few others.
She is walking everywhere but does not like to be led.
She loves to give hugs and slobbery kisses.
And her latest favorite thing to do (a hobby she shares with Claire) is climb up in the princess throne and sit.
Hey, if the crown fits...

Claire is having a great summer too.
She's more of a spectator in the water, but surprised us the other day when she wanted to swim with Sisters. She tends to be cautious, which I think is a good thing.
She likes to splash in the bath tub.
Claire likes to hug and she is always happy and smiling.
One of her favorite things to do is climb in the dog crate and close the door.
She can say "Daddy, Mama, Sissy, Doggie, Uh-oh" and a few other words too.
She loves to have a bouncy ball in her hand at all times.

Both girls eat well, and they are getting so big! Lately they have been waking up at night, so I don't know what that is all about, but I hope they (and I) can get some better rest soon. They both suck their thumbs at night and sleep with their blankies and doggies, two items I recently found out the hard way are very necessary! It's hard to tell from some pictures, but both girls are getting some curl to their hair.
We are taking a trip to the beach in a couple of weeks and I am so curious to see what the girls will think of it.

Trip to the Braunf

We enjoyed spending four days at Grammy & Grandpa's house. We were busy! We visited the Children's Museum, (start praying for me now that they're walking in different directions)

had fun at the park with friends,

David and I went to my 10 year High School Reunion,

and these three had a blast with their fun grandparents!

Despite Brooke wanting to stay with Grammy indefinitely, we made our way home and Brooke and I dove right in to Vacation Bible School at church. It's Thursday and I feel I am finally recovering from a very exciting week!

4th of July

We spent the 4th with Grandma & family. Brooke greatly enjoyed the fireworks this year so David tells me. I ended pushing the twins in their stroller to the car (through a bunch of mud) because they were getting really tired and I was afraid that the firework noise would spook them. Everything was better than fine once we made it to the car and the AC was on full blast.

Brooke even ended up making the front page of the newspaper! Well.. sort of. Cousin Avery's cute face was in the picture, but due to a mix up Brooke's name was listed in the caption instead.
Oops.

While Mommy's Away

I missed the girls while I was gone, but they seemed to do just fine with Daddy and Grandma.

They got to try sitting in Grandma's back seat..
Keely: "Hey Daddy, the store is that way!"

Keely & Claire snuggled with Grandma.

And after I got home and spent some good time with them, David and I decided to let Brooke take the trip to Mt. Pleasant with Grandma by herself. Our little girl is growing up! Miss Independent didn't bat an eye leaving Mommy & Daddy.

Andrew James

Thanks to my sweet husband and my wonderful mother in-law, I was able to spend a couple of days visiting my friend Emily, her husband Mark, and her precious baby boy Andrew. Their house was really quiet compared to mine :).
Tomorrow I will update with pictures David took while I was gone.

Look at that face!

Andrew: "Mooommm!"

Love these two! My apologies to Andrew for making you pose at feeding time.
